Single Women Pension Scheme : Registration Link and Eligibility

Single Women (abandoned, widow, unmarried women) whose age is 30+ and belong to rural areas or those whose husbands are in jail can avail the benefit of Single Women Pension Scheme under the new guidelines of Telangana. Eligible single women will receive an amount of 1000/month as a pension. The scheme is for both Urban and Rural area women.

Telangana Single Women Scheme was launched on 2 July and the motive behind this was to provide financial aid to the women who are single or abandoned. Apart from widow or divorced single women, unmarried girls who are 35+ and their income is not more than 2 Lakh (urban area) can also avail the benefit of this scheme while the are criteria is 30 for rural areas. How to Apply for a Single Women Pension Scheme?

Applying for the Single Women Pension Scheme in Telangana is easy. Here’s how you can do it:

·       Get the Form:  Download the application form from the official website of Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) at https://gwmc.gov.in/aasara.aspx. You can also get the form from the nearest panchayat office, municipal office, or GHMC office.

·       Fill in the Details: Complete the form with your name, address, age, marital status, income, and bank account number. Make sure you provide all the necessary information.

·       Gather Documents: Collect the required documents like Aadhaar card, ration card, proof of residence, and specific documents based on your situation (marriage certificate, divorce decree, etc.).

·       Attach Documents: Attach copies of all the documents to your application form. These documents prove your eligibility for the scheme.

·       Submit the Application: Take your filled form and attached documents to the right office. In rural areas, submit it to the panchayat secretary, in urban local bodies, give it to the bill collector, and in GHMC areas, submit it to the village revenue officer.

Eligibility for aasara.telangana.gov.in Scheme 

To be a part of the Single Women Pension Scheme, certain requirements must be met. Here’s what a single woman needs to be eligible for the scheme in Telangana:

·       In cities, a woman must be at least 35 years old, and in rural areas, she must be 30 years old. She can be widowed, divorced, separated, abandoned, or single.

·       The woman should not be receiving any other pensions or financial aid from the government or other sources.

·       In rural areas, her income should not exceed Rs. 1.5 lakh, and in cities, it shouldn’t be more than Rs. 2.5 Lakh.

·       She must live in Telangana and have both a valid ration card and Aadhaar card.

Meeting these criteria allows single women in Telangana to benefit from the Single Women Pension Scheme.

Married women who are at least eighteen years old and no longer living with their spouse are referred to as single women. There should be a minimum of one year between the parties.

The advantages of the single women pension program are also available to single women who are over 30 in rural regions and over 35 in urban areas. Additional women who qualify for the pension plan for unmarried women.
